The Blues Scale Workout app will test your ability to recall all of the Blues Scale shapes on the app’s guitar fretboard. The goal is to successfully mimic the Blues scales as they are presented in the app. Each scale has three different patterns. The first pattern presented for each scale shape is an ascending pattern.
The second pattern for each scale shape is an ascending and descending pattern. After the demonstration of the pattern is given, you will be prompted to take your turn at playing the pattern. If you touch a wrong note, you will be prompted to try again. If you need to see a demonstration of the scale pattern, press the play button to replay.
When you accurately touch and complete the scale pattern, you will get a thumb’s up. Press the forward button to proceed to the next scale shape. Press the back button to review a previous scale shape.
When you select the key of A Minor, you will start on the A Minor Blues scale shape starting on the 5th fret. After successfully completing the 2 patterns for the first position A Minor Blues scale, you can either repeat one of the scale patterns or proceed to next adjoining scale shape.
When you select the key of C Major, you will start on the C Major Blues scale shape starting on the 8th fret. After successfully completing the 2 patterns for the first position C Major Blues scale, you can either repeat one of the scale patterns or proceed to next adjoining scale shape.
In the Settings Page, you can select the starting scales of A Minor or C Major. Also in the Settings Page, you can change the fretboard appearance and language translation settings.
Finger Numbers On The Notes
When you play these scales on the guitar, all the notes in this app display the appropriate finger numbers for use on the guitar neck.
